Music & Sewing Twinchies

Here are two sets of twinchies I made for recent swaps.
On the sewing ones I embossed & cut out the scissors, safety pin & pins. Added a pearl for the top of the other pin.
With the treble clef I stamped & cut out then covered in black glitter.

Hope you like them,

Fabric Inchies

Hi everyone - well what a change in the weather here today - raining and cold after such a lovely few days.
Thought I would pop on & share these 'fabric' inchies that I made for a swap.
The first thing I did was take some roving wool in a few colours and hand felted it into a square, then I cut my inchies from this.
I found some tiny buttons & beads and attached these on each inchie with a little sewing. Went around the edges with my idea of a blanket stitch!

Postcard Art Swap - clocks, watches & time

Hi everyone! Hope you are all well. The weather here has been lovely, but as I am sat writing this it is raining & is quite a bit colder today - good time to stay in and craft I think!
I can share this postcard as it has been received.
I cut the postcard from black card & embossed with an embossing folder. I went over the embossing with various colours of Viva Decor waxes.
I stamped the pocket watch & chain using versa mark ink & embossed with gold embossing powder, then cut it out. Used DI to ink over the watch face.
Stamped the border onto white card using black archival then cut out, inked around the edges with DI.
Die cut the wings from white card & inked with DI.
Arranged all the elements onto the postcard, using foam pads on the watch for a bit of dimension.
Stamped the sentiment using versa mark, embossed using gold embossing powder. Cut out & inked around using DI.
Hope you like it.
Thanks for stopping by.

DT post for Crafty Calendar

Hi everyone! A new challenge has begun over at Crafty Calendar

This month we are sponsored by :

The theme this month is Mum's Day/Special Female.
The background on my card was made by putting ink onto a stencil, then spraying the stencil with water. Care has to be taken at this stage to remove the paper from underneath & placing the stencil, ink side down, onto some watercolour paper.
The image was stamped onto white card, coloured & cut out. Same with the sentiment, but the ornate part of the sign was stamped straight onto the background.
Hope you have time to pop over to the Crafty Calendar blog & have a peek at the other DT's makes. Have a go at the challenge & you might be lucky enough to win some lovely goodies from Wild Orchid Crafts!

Creative Artiste DT post - challenge #24

Hi everyone - time for another challenge over at Creative Artiste! The theme, as usual, is anything goes. If you're lucky enough to win you will receive goodies - stamps & dies - from the lovely Judy McKay.
I stamped the shoes onto white card, coloured in & cut out, same with the sentiment.
Ran some card through my GC using a clock embossing folder, then inked over this to bring out the details. Die cut this into the square shape, then cut lots of other shapes to buiod up the card.
Arranged everything onto the brown base card, adding a couple of brads.
Hope you have time to pop over to the Creative Artiste blog & have a look at the other DT's makes. Enter the challenge & you never know - it could be YOU!
Thanks for stopping by.

Inchie Tag

Hi everyone! Just thought I pop by & share this tag with you.
It was made for a swap, but has been received now so I can share it.
The theme was to make a tag but use inchies - love those little inchies!
I painted the tag with a mixture of white & yellow acrylic paint. Inked through a stencil with green Distress Ink and around the edges of the tag with vintage photo DI.
Stamped the image on the tag & images on the inchies with walnut stain DI.
Die cut the honeycomb from brown card. Adhered this to the bottom of the tag.
Mounted my inchies onto some brown card & arranged them onto the tag. Finished off with some garden twine.
Thanks for stopping by.
