Box Birthday Card
Hi everyone - me again! Here is a box birthday card I made for a little girl's 4th birthday. Her favourite colours are pink & purple.
This was a design from Silhouette studio.
The main box was cut from Kraft Kard. The panels I cut from pink glitter card & purple mirri board. Various patterned papers were used for the other elements.
I was pleased with the result & everyone was very impressed with it - result!
Thanks for stopping by.

I have made this ATC for the challenge over on Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge this week. The theme is girly.
This Tiddly Inks stamp was a freebie from Quick Cards magazine & fitted perfectly on my ATC. Just love the doggies too!
The background was done with distress inks.

DT post for Crafty Calendar Challenge
Hi everyone! First Saturday of a new month so must be a new challenge over at Crafty Calendar blog. The theme this month is Mum's Day/ Special Female.
We have two sponsors this month:
I have used an image from A Day For Daisies - Mother's Day Flower.
I printed the image onto white card, coloured using my pencils. Die cut the image, some patterned paper & placed the largest die over the edge of my card to make the shaped card.
Embossed the card & inked over this using Distress Ink. Inked around the edges of the image & patterned paper.
Placed the patterned paper onto the white card, then matted the image onto the patterned paper using some foam tape for a bit of dimension.
I went over the flower part of the embossing with some stickles.
Die cut the letters for Mum from the patterned paper, added a pink bow to the side. Added some gems to the swirls.
Pop over to the Crafty Calendar Blog & have a peek at the other DT's makes - enter the challenge, we would love to see your makes.
Thanks for stopping by.

Bev xx

Creative Artiste DT Post
Hi everyone! A new month so it must be a new challenge over at Creative Artiste Blog. The theme is anything goes/with a twist to use chipboard, stencils.
I found a great bargain at my local shops - light up initials! They had mine & Keith's initials too - which was great as I wouldn't want to leave him out - lol!
The first thing I did was cover each letter with white Gesso. Once this had dried I covered each letter with tissue using Deco Page. The B was covered with spotty tissue & the K with green tissue. Once again left to dry, then stamped images onto the letters. Keith is really into photography, has been as long as I've known him - and that is a long time! I used photo themed stamps for his initial, and anything I fancied for mine, I coloured the images on mine with Inktense pencils. Went around the edges with gilding wax.
Once everything had dried I gave them both a coat of glitter Mod Podge - I love it, gives such a lovely sheen with lots of glitter - pity I couldn't get it to show up on the photo's but looks really good.
I made some paper roses to surround the lights on my initial - this gives the lights a gentle pink colour. Added some ribbon & twine embellished with beads & chipboard hearts to the back of my initial.
Hope you like them - I found a great place for them & I'm pleased with how they look day & night!
Thanks for stopping by.

Waxing Again...
Hi everyone - well we escaped the snow, although Keith said there were flurries in the afternoon yesterday where he was, but nothing here at home! The hospital where he works is a lot higher than home though, we are at the bottom of a valley. Today it is cold but bright here.
Have been playing with my waxes again so thought I would show my latest creations.
I am still practicing blending and finding the different effects by using the iron different ways.
Hope you like them.
Thanks for stopping by.

More Encaustic....
I just can't stop playing with my new toy! I love it.
Tried blending some waxes this time - I like the effect so watch this space! I used some gold & silver metallics on the one above but doesn't show up very well in the pic - it gives it quite a sheen in real life.
Shades of pink, red & brown on this one.
Thanks for looking.
