Happy Tag

Hi everyone ! Here is a tag I made for a challenge on Facebook. The theme was happy.
I inked over a tag with yellow ink. Die cut the happy birthday from white card & placed it onto the tag. Went over the happy birthday & around the edges of the tag with gold Inka Gold.
Die cut the flowers parts from white & yellow card, edged these with the Inka Gold as well. Die cut the leaf swirl from some green patterned paper. Arranged my swirl & flower onto the tag. Added a gem to the middle of the flower & some twine with beads.
Hope you like it.
Thanks for stopping  by - don't forget my giveaway, it's pinned to the top of my page.

Me again with another post on this dull day!
I decided to make a card using my balloon die. I also found a stamp with a bear & a balloon - result!
I coloured some white card with blue PanPastel & green DI.
Stamped the bear onto white card, coloured & cut out. Die cut some balloons & with love sentiment.
Arranged the elements onto the card & drew strings from the balloons to the bear's paw.
I thought it needed a little something else, so die cut the little corner elements from white card. Placed them at the bottom of the card & inked over with green Inka Gold.
Hope you like it.
Thanks for stopping by.

Hearts & music ATC

Hi - just thought I'd share this ATC with you today.
The theme over on Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge is hearts.
I have never had much luck using texture paste - don't know why, but I never seemed to have any success with it. I saw someone use some ordinary filler so thought I'd give it a try.
I went into my favorite shop & got a HUGE tub for a pound - and after trying it out on this ATC I think I will be using it again.
I remembered a music stencil I had that was a freebie from a magazine ages ago. I placed this onto the ATC & spread my filler over it. Was too impatient to let it dry naturally - so out came my heat tool! I was really pleased with the result.
I inked all over this using frayed burlap Distress Ink, then around the edges with barn door DI.
I die cut the hearts from some card I had inked & edged with black ink.
Placed these using foam pads.
The wooden heart embellishment (another of my poundshop finds! A large reel of wooden beads & hearts on twine & 'leather'.) just finishes it off I think.

More Felting...

Hi everyone - hope you're not too cold. Good weather to stay in crafting I say!
Here are my latest needle felting makes. I now have some shades of red & pink roving wool  - better colour for hearts I think.
I used cookie cutters for the basic shapes.
I think I'll make a brooch from the flower & either a keyring or bag charm from the heart.
Thanks for stopping by.

I thought I'd share with you some ATC's I have made for a swap over at A Little Piece of  Me ATC Swap.
The most difficult thing I found was making sure there were no swear words on the print I used. I bought the book from a charity shop. I started die cutting my shapes & when I came to ink them I kept finding swear words of the four letter kind! Right in the middle of my shape! I hadn't realized I had picked up such a 'racy' book as I just wanted it to rip up - that sounds bad - ripping up a book, but by the look of the language in one maybe that was a good thing!
Anyhoo I have made these for the swap - hopefully without any bad language mishaps!
I used my new Spellbinder Sapphire die cutting machine, which was one of my crafty presents from Keith - I love it! It's great as It just sits on the table ready to use with my small dies, instead of having to get the Calibur out. I coloured the die cuts using Pan Pastels, the backgrounds were inked using Distress Inks then edged using Rub 'n' Buff.
I thought they needed a little sparkle and I remembered I had some little embellishments that were a find in a pound shop - I love the shop near me it has started having some real crafty bargains. I pop in when I have dropped Keith off at work & have a real nosey around.
Thanks for stopping by.

Another craft...

I bought a needle felting kit & just had to have a go as soon as I got everything out of the box. Within 5 minutes  had made this! Added a brooch pin at the back & I have a brooch to wear!
Need to get some other colours of wool .
It's great for getting rid of tension with all that stabbing! Watch the fingers though!

DT post for Crafty Calendar

Hi everyone - here's my DT post for Crafty Calendar's January Challenge - Something New.
We have 2 sponsors this month:

I have made card using the Cool Dudes & Little Skater images from All Dressed Up. I printed them to the size I needed, coloured them using watercolour pencils.
For the cool dudes background I used silver & blue waxes. Then matted onto white then glitter card.
For the little skater I die cut a shape, went around the edges with blue wax. Matted this onto glitter then white card.
Pop over to Crafty Calendar to see the other DT' makes.
See you soon!

Creative Artiste DT Post

Hi everyone - Happy New Year! Hope you all had a good Christmas however you celebrated.
Here is this months DT make for Creative Artiste.
The sponsor this month is Dusty Attic.
The theme is - anything goes with a twist - use chipboard.
I decided to recycle an empty Olive Oil bottle. I used white gesso to covet the bottle. Once this was dry I used Deco Art's crackle paint. Once this was dry I went over this with various inks & waxes to get the aged finish.
I found some rub ons that I had bought from a local pound shop ages ago & thought thee would be just right for the look I was wanting, i wasn't sure if they would work on the medium but they did!
I coloured some chipboard shapes with coloured waxes & adhered these around the bottle.
Wrapped some twine around the neck of the bottle & added a chipboard birdie. Hope you like it.
Pop over to Creative Artiste blog & have a look at the other DT's fantastic makes. Enter the challenge - it's fun!
Pop back tomorrow for another new blog challenge!
