Hi - time for another challenge over at
The theme is : Anything Mixed Media Goes.
Our sponsor is:
Well it is December - so I am sharing a Christmas canvas with you.
I drew the tree onto the back of the canvas & carefully cut out with a craft knife.
Then I took a piece of A4 card & embossed the top half using a dotty embossing folder. For the snowy bottom I used strips of masking tape, overlapping so that it doesn't stick to itself then I could roll the edges to give a bit of texture. I painted the tape with white acrylic paint & when dry added some sparkle with stickles glue. Stuck this to the back of the canvas - leaving a space bottom right to put the battery pack of the lights. Poked a small hole to thread the lights through.
Die cut snowflakes, reindeer, poinsettias, holly & pine sprigs from card.
I arranged everything onto the canvas, adding some red gems for holly berries, blue gems in the middle of the snowflakes & loads of stickles glitter all over for a snowy, frosty feel.
Turned on my lights & arranged where I wanted them - love how it has turned out. Will be finding a place for it among my Christmas decorating!
I hope you can drop over to the Creative Artiste blog & check out the other DT members makes & hope they inspire you to make something & enter the challenge.
Thanks for stopping by.
Merry Christmas!!
Hugs,
Bev xx
