Steampunk Tag

For this tag I used 2 images from an oldish Chocolate Baroque stamp - Punky Romance. The love stamp was stamped onto red card using black Archival ink, then heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I then cut the image out - bit fiddly but I managed it!
The main image was stamped, then I coloured the cogs using some metallic acrylic paint - great find from the local poundshop! The rest of the image was coloured using Distress inks & Cosmic Shimmer watercolours.
I painted the large tag with white gesso, then Americana black lamp acrylic. Once this dried I applied a coat of Americana weathered wood. When this dried I applied a coat of Americana snow acrylic & watched the weathered effect appear.
I gave the tag a spray with Adirondack colour wash in cranberry.
Inked through a Peerless Designs cog mask on one side with frayed burlap Distress Ink.
Used some gold leaf Rub'n'Buff around the edges.
Adhered the stamped elements to the tag, used some more Rub'n'Buff.
Found some metal elements - a leaf & a cog just to finish the tag off.
Have enlarged the top & bottom of the tag so you can get a closer look at the effects & elements.
Hope you like it.
Thanks for stopping by.
Hugs,
Bev xx
