More Numbers...

Hi everyone - hope you have had a good weekend. The weather is a bit better here today - brighter & warmer.
I decided to make another numbers themed card - basically because of the numbers themed stamps I found yesterday!
The background is made using  Docrafts Papermania 6"x6" Urban Stamp, stamping with black Archival onto white card. Sponged around with PanPastels - burnt sienna tint & burnt sienna. Edged with frayed burlap DI.
The main image is from the Timekeeper stamp set designed by Sam Poole. Stamped with black Archival onto white card, then sprinkled Brusho paints around the image & sprayed with water.
Coloured the frame of the large watch with watercolour paint. Went around the edge with gold Rub'n'Buff.
Stamped the sentiment - also from the Timekeeper stamp set - onto card that already had the Brusho treatment. Edged with the burnt sienna PanPastel.
Adhered the main image to the card, added the sentiment using foam pads.
Hope you like this take on numbers.
Thanks for stopping by.
Hugs,
Bev xx

Numbers

Hi everyone! Dull cool day here today so time for a bit of crafting - as if I need the excuse!
The theme over on the Facebook group One Word Wonder is numbers.
I had some Tim Holtz stamps - Visual Artistry Collection, Seamless Experience that I wanted to use & there are numbers on the ruler - result!
I cut some white card & stamped the ruler & stitches using black Archival. I then went around the card with Pan Pastel Burnt Sienna Tint, went over the rulers with Pan Pastel Burnt Sienna. Edged the card with pink Inka Gold.
I stamped the dress form onto white card using the black Archival then cut out & edged with Inka Gold & some gold Rub'n'Buff.
I had been experimenting with Brusho paints & had a few backgrounds. I decided which part I wanted to use & stamped the sentiment, cut out & edged with the Inka Gold.
Attached the dress form & sentiment using foam pads for a bit of dimension.
Measured out some pink spotted paper for matting & layerin.
Hope you like my make today.
Thanks for stopping by.

Bev xx

Something Different...

Hi everyone - the weather has taken a turn for the worse here! Good weather for crafting.
There is a challenge over on the IndigoBlu Challenge Blog - Just One Layer.
I thought I'd try something a little different & give it a go.
I cut out some lining material, measuring the size of the image first, to make sure I had enough  material to make a little bag.
I stamped the IndigoBlu image onto the lining material using rusty hinge distress ink. I ironed it to make it colour fast.
Out came my trusty sewing mahine. I picked out some dark brown thread, picked a design and sewed around the image to make a frame.
I then turned each end over, making sure to leave enough room to thread some lace through for a tie.
Sewed up each side, threaded lace through the top to tie up the bag.
I think because of the colour of the material & stamped image plus the lace it gives the bag a vintage look.
This could be used as a lavender bag, a bag to keep jewellery in - whatever you like really, I decided to keep my sewing bits & bobs in it.
Hope you like it - thanks for stopping by.
Hugs,
Bev xx

Trees card made for challenge

Hi everyone! Hope you are having a good May day bank holiday. The weather is not too bad here - was sunny but has clouded over a little now.
I made this card for a challenge over on Mad Crafters Giggles on FB. It is a one word wonder challenge - guess the word!
I found this die cut in my library for my Silhouette Portrait.
I cut the base from some pale pink card, the tree overlays from green card & the flowers from pink paper. Then assembled it using my trusty Zig glue pen.
I think this is a good shaped card & very spring like.
thanks for stopping by.

Bev xx

April Shower ATC's

Hi everyone! Hope you are enjoying the long weekend - if you get one of course.
Just thought I'd pop by & share some ATC's I made for a challenge at ATC Swap UK - the theme was April Showers.
These have been done using my Silhouette Portrait.
I found some rainbow vellum that I had forgotten all about. I found the lovely raindrops & cut these from the vellum, then adhered these to some white card.
Cut the umbrellas from various card, cut the wellies from vellum & adhered to white card.
Arranged all the elements onto the ATC's.
Hope you like them - thanks for stopping by.

Creative Artiste Challenge Blog Post

Hi everyone! What a lovely April we have had. May is here so that means a new monthly challenge over at Creative Artiste Challenge Blog. I hope you will pop over & have a look & take part in the challenge. This months sponsor is :

http://sherribaldy.blogspot.co.uk/

Here is my take on one of the digi stamps & colour theme for this month.
I took a piece of white card, covered the bottom half in green tissue paper, the top half in blue tissue. I stamped the clouds by using titanium white acrylic paint on some bubble wrap.
I adhered a piece of green hessian across the centre.
I resized the digi to the size I needed, then coloured using Inktense pencils. Adered using foam pads for a bit of dimension.
I made some clay flowers & a butterfly.
I then was ready to arrange the elements on my background.
I added some pieces of the hessian across the bottom, attached my flowers, added some ribbon. I decided to use one of my yellow flowers as a sun.
Added a few more charms.
Stamped the sentiment onto white card & attached using foam pads.
Have a great time whatever you're doing.
Thanks for stopping by.
Hugs,
Bev xx
