New Challenge Blog !

Hi everyone! Hope you are all ready for Easter.
A new mixed media challenge blog has started today - Creative Artiste Challenge Blog. I hope you will be able to join in the challenges. It is a monthly challenge & has various digital stamp sponsors.
This month our sponsor is Cute as a Button Digis. Click on the link to go to the Etsy shop.
I have been lucky enough to be able to choose Autumn Fairy designed by Francesca Lopez.
I prepped my canvas ( a piece of thick card) with some white gesso. I painted over this with some teal acrylic paint, then randomly stamped over this using bubble wrap & burgundy ink. Randomly sponged some of the burgundy ink around as well. Then stamped in various places using a bit of hessian with chocolate brown ink. Finally added some rings using a mask & texture paste. Oh & just had to add a butterfly with the texture paste as well! Left all this to dry.
While my canvas was drying I printed an autumn photo onto photo paper (thanks to my OH Keith for letting me use his image!).
Printed out the Autumn Fairy image to the size I needed. I coloured this image using Inktense pencils. Carefully cut her out - she was ready to go onto the canvas - but not just yet.
I cut a frame from some textured paper using my GC & a die. Went over this with some gold Rub'n'Buff to pick out the texture on the paper. Placed this frame over my photo & placed this onto my canvas using some foam pads for a bit of dimension.
I then stamped the toadstools, grasses, tree branches & swirls using black Archival ink. Stamped the word believe down one side using burgundy ink.
Placed my lovely Autumn Fairy onto the canvas then finished off with some leaves, made some small paper flowers, found a chipboard bird & shape.
Finished of with some coloured twine around the edges.
Hope you like my make & can pop over to the Creative Artiste Challenge Blog to see the other DT's makes with the Cute as a Button Digis images & hopefully join in our challenges - hope to see you there!
