DT post for Jiggery Makery

Hi everyone! Wednesday again already - where are these weeks going & March is here at the weekend - where are the months going???
Meet Pamela - another great digi image designed by Adele Bradwell over at Jiggery Makery. She just looks like she's all ready for a party to me with her lovely dress & hair-do.
I printed out the image to the size I needed onto white card, then I printed it out again onto some glitter card - I wanted her to have a lovely sparkly dress.
I coloured the image, then carefully cut out the image from the white card. Carefully cut out the dress from the glitter card.
After placing the glitter dress on Pamela I decided she needed a lovely petticoat & a wrap. I found some burgundy lace in my stash so made the petticoat & placed some around her shoulders for a wrap.
I carefully stuck everything into place - looking good!
I cut a piece of white card, matted some pink card that I had embossed onto this. Embossed a triangle of lilac card, matted this onto the pink card. Die cut some edging from white card & placed this around the lilac card.
Placed Pamela in the cente of the card using foam pads, for a little dimension.
Stamped the words party girl onto white card & matted onto some glitter card. Edged these & around the card with some burgundy ink.
I think she's ready for that party!
You can find Pamela over in the Jiggery Makery Etsy Shop - along with many other great images designed by Adele.

DT post for JB Crafting Supplies

Hi everyone! Sorry about the late post this week - but here it is.
My DT make this week for JB Crafting Supplies.
I have used the Stampendous Fantasy Tile stamps & the Forever in Time Paper Collection to make a plain box into something special.
I coated the top with a dark acrylic colour, let it dry then applied some weathered wood medium. Allowed this to dry & then applied a thin coat of white acrylic & watched the magic happen.
I covered the sides & inside of the box with a some of the lovely paper, then covered this with PVA to seal it.
I chose which stamps to use then stamped in various places around the box.
I then went around with my gold Rub 'n' Buff, and some other waxes to give everything an aged feel.
Now I have somewhwere pretty to store my bit 'n' bobs.
As usual I forgot to photograph the box before but have managed to find a photo on the site I bought it from. Here is how it looked -

DT Post for Jiggery Makery

Hi everyone! Hope you are all having a great week. Lovely that the mornings and evenings are getting lighter.
This week's DT make for Jiggery Makery is using the lovely digi image - Penelope, designed by Adele Bradwell.
I dowloaded the image & resized to the size I wanted. I made this to fit A5 size card as I had an idea what I wanted to do & didn't want the image to be too small.
I'm still on a bit of a reminiscing phase at the moment & was remembering the paper dolls I used to love playing with when I was small.
I then printed the dress & shoes images onto three different patterned papers. I carefully cut out these, leaving some tags on the dresses to help 'hook' these onto the main image.
I still like these dolls!
Here are a couple of pics of Penelope with her different looks:

These would be good this week with it being half term. The dresses could be printed onto plain card, ready to be coloured in - a whole wardrobe of colourful dresses for Penelope!
Penelope is available from Adele's Etsy Shop along with many more lovely images - pop over and have a look. There are links to Jiggery Makery Facebook page, Blog & Etsy shop on my left hand side bar.
Hope you like this weeks make.

DT post for JB Crafting Supplies

Hi everyone! Another weekend rolls around - can't believe we are midway through February already!
I have made a card today using the Stampendous Fantasy Tiles & Forever in Time Paper Collection - Elderberry. All sent to me by Julie from JB Crafting Supplies - thank you.
I picked out a backing paper - with lovely swirls. I matted this onto some lilac card.
There is a lovely border stamp that comes with the tile stamps. I stamped this onto lilac card, using a lovely Burgundy ink, to make a frame.
I picked out the tiles & stamped these onto white card with the Burgundy ink. Carefully cut them out. I matted these onto a smaller piece of the patterned paper using foam pads for a bit of dimension. Inked around the edges. I then matted this onto the lilac card with the frame.
All this was now matted onto the main card.
I stamped the border stamp onto some white card, but stamped on some scrap paper first to give a faded look. Stamped the sentiment onto this & added this to the card with foam pads.
There are some lovely papers in this paper pack - useful for all kinds of projects. I'd better get my thinking cap on for next week.
Hope you like this week's make.

DT post for Jiggery Makery & Love Is Red challenge!

Hi everyone! Here's my DT piece for Jiggery Makery this week.
I decided to use the lovely digi image Rita, designed by Adele Bradwell. Rita is one of 4 Valentine images that you can find over on Jiggery Makery's Etsy shop.
I have been thinking of my Mum & Dad a lot this week - I miss them. I remembered the cards that Dad used to get Mum for birthdays & Christmas when I was small -they were always 'padded'. I used to love looking at them. I thought that might be the way to go with this image.
I printed out the image to the size I wanted. Cut carefully around the image, then drew around the heart part, filling in the gaps. I was using an A5 sized card & drew the heart in the middle, cut this out.
I cut out a piece of red fabric, large enough to cover the heart shape & enough to push through the aperture. I placed some wadding behind the fabric & gently pushed through until I had the effect I was looking for.
It was a bit 'fiddly' sticking the fabric down & keeping the wadding in place, I coverd the workings on the inside with some card.
I found some pink glitter card & cut the heart shape from the middle of it & placed this over the fabric heart.
Cut out Rita & coloured her in - I decided us silver surfers could have some fun, so did her hair in a lovely silvery colour with a red flash!
Placed some black lace around the heart, laid Rita on her lovely cushion, added a sentiment & was finished!
I love how it has turned out - reminds me of those padded cards.

This project is part of the Jiggery Makery Valentines themed challenge LOVE IS RED.
The rules are really simple:

1. You MUST use any one of the four 2015 valentines themed digital stamps (Lucy, Stacey, Rita or Georgia) available at:

2. Any type of project is acceptable (cards, canvas, bunting . . . etc) Go wild.

3. The theme is LOVE IS RED. So use as much red as possible within your creation.

All you then need to do is email Adele a photo of your project with just a short paragraph of how you did it and your name. Please make the subject of the email ‘LOVE IS RED CHALLENGE’. Her email is and all images need to be sent to her by midnight February 14th. She will feature all the projects on the Facebook page and in a special blog post on Sunday 15th February. Please spread the word and if
you have any questions please ask. Thank you!

DT post for Foil Play

Hi everyone! Well it was a very foggy start this morning but the sun has finally broken through.
Here are today's makes - 2 cards made with some lovely die cut sheets from Foil Play.
The pink one has made a lovely valentine's card. This card was from a Paws-fur-a-moment Circle Stackers sheet from Buzzcraft. The only thing to add was a card & backing paper! There is enough on one sheet to make 2 cards.
The lovely foiled one is from a Kanban sheet - Bella Mini Cakes - Chocolate Concept Card. This has made a lovely shaped card with lovely toppers & sentiment - all beautifully foiled. It really does look good enough to eat!
I have just used what were on the sheets & has made lovely cards, but there is nothing stopping you adding more embellishments if you want.
Have a look over on Foil Play - some lovely goodies there.

Hope you like today's makes.

Valentine make

Hi everyone - what a lovely day here today! The sun is out, the sky is blue - still a bit nippy though.
I decided to get out my Silhouette today & see if I could make something for Keith for Valentines.
It's the first time I've had a proper play with it since I received it.  It was an early Christmas present but with Christmas being so close, then Keith's Mum ending up in hospital & having to find her a new nursing home I have only just had the time for a proper play.
I searched through my library & found the card & the doggy treat bag - great!
I cut the basic card shape from some red card, the love sentiment from red then white card. The overlay was cut from white card, then embossed. Put the card together & added a few gem hearts. That was the card finished.
Cut the parts of the doggy treat bag from various shades of brown card, black for the nose & eyes. Assembled the bag.
Put some chocolate hearts into the bag for the photo - had to leave them in the net bag or I could possible have eaten them!
I'm pleased with how they turned out - think Keith will like them too.
Hope you have a great day - whatever you're doing.
Thanks for stopping by.

Hi everyone - another blog post for me today!
Here is an ATC I have made for the challenge over at Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge Blog. The theme this week is bookworm or things with wings.
I had a new free Tonic die that I just had to try!
I covered my ATC with some white card then stamped on it using salty ocean DI on bubble wrap. I die cut some dark blue card using my free Mariposa Floral die from Tonic.
Stamped some small butterflies onto white card with the salty ocean DI & cut out.
Arranged elements onto the ATC, then edged with dark blue marker pen.
Thanks for stopping by.

DT post for JB Crafting Supplies

Hi everyone! The snow has just about gone here. Hope you are all well & have had a good weekend.
Julie from JB Crafting Supplies sent me some new crafty goodies to play with!
Fantasy tile stamps from Stampendous. As you can see above there are 12 lovely tile sized stamps & one lacy border stamp.
Here is the ATC I made with 3 of the tiles & the border stamp.

I cut out my ATC from thick card, covered it with white card. I picked out 3 tiles to use & stamped them onto white card using blue Distress Ink & cut them out. I edged the tiles with a dark blue marker.
I stamped down the long edges of the ATC using the border stamp & the blue DI.
Placed the tiles onto the ATC using foam pads for a bit of dimension. Added some blue gems for a bit of bling.
Edged around the ATC with a dark blue marker.
I have made this for a swap where the theme is the colour blue.
Hope you like my make this week.

DT post for Jiggery Makery

Hi everyone!
Here's another Valentine make, this week using the lovely 'Georgia' digi image from Jiggery Makery - designed by Adele Bradwell.
'Georgia' is the 4th Valentine image - although they could all easily be used for other occasions. If you are wanting any of the lovely images head over to the Jiggery Makery Etsy shop.
You can check out the other Jiggery Makery DT makes & links to their blogs over on the Facebook page.
I printed the image to the size I wanted, coloured using Inktense pencils.
I embossed some pink card using a freebie embossing folder. Placed the coloured digi where I thought it looked good. Mounted this onto some red & white spotty paper, then onto white card.
I highligted the dots around the heart using a red ProMarker.
The sentiment was a rub on.
Added some other embellishments - another lovely card thanks to Adele & her great digi image.
Thanks for stopping by.

DT post for JB Crafting Supplies

Hi everyone - hope you are all well & didn't get too disrupted by the snow.
Here is this weeks DT project for JB Crafting Supplies. I decided to make a pin cushion using the versatile Stampendous Teacup Cupcake stamp.
I found some lining material & cut myself a piece large enough for the stamp & with a bi extra for seam allowance.
I inked up the stamp using black Stazon ink & stamped this onto the material. It didn't come out very black, as you can see on the cupcake wrapper on the photo.
I coloured the image using Sharpie pens.
I decided that the main image needed outlining so I sewed around it using some black thread - I didn't go over the wrapper though as I thought this would look too much.
Once I had done the outlining I drew a circle around the image, cut another piece of material for the backing.
I wanted to use the pincushion on  my wrist so I found some elastic to attach to it.
I placed the piece with the image face down onto the backing piece, with the elastic across the middle between the two pieces. I pinned these together  where the elastic was to hold everything in place.
I sewed all around the edge of the circle, leaving a small gap to enable me to turn the piece the right way out.
I snipped around the seam - hopefully to give it a more smooth look.
Turned the piece the right way out, inserted some stuffing then sewed the gap up.
On my wrist when I'm sewing - just to remind me to stop for tea & cake!
I thought it would look good in a proper teacup & saucer as well - might have to have a look around the charity shops next week!
Here it is on my wrist - have managed to crop my gnarly old hand out of the pic! Didn't want to frighten anyone!

Hope you all have a good week.

Bev xx
