Hi everyone - already into the second week of November !
I can't believe it - but it does mean it's time for challenge 8 over on Creative Artiste blog. The theme this month is Anything Goes/Traditional Christmas(i.e. Red, Green & Gold).
I decided to go with the Traditional Colours theme.
To see the winner of challenge 7 & the top 3 click HERE
I used an empty jar, the backing from some paper napkins, gilding flakes, stamps & ribbon.
The image is is the lovely Victorian Winter Emily digi stamp from Lacy Sunshine Stamps.
It is such a beautiful image - I took the image into Craft Artist & resized it to fit the side of my jar. I thought printing onto the single ply of the napkin might be difficult so I taped a piece to some card then printed onto it - hey presto! it worked!
I took some more of the single ply napkin, enough to cover my jar & carefully adhered it to the jar using Americana DecouPage. I like how it gives a frost feel to the jar.
I then carefully tore around my image & adhered this to the jar.
I stamped some leaves around the image then applied some gilding flakes around the top of the jar & around the sides of the image. Tied some ribbon around the top & placed a tealight inside.
Hope you like it. Pop over to Creative Artiste and check out the other DT members lovely makes. Enter the challenge - you never know you might win some lovely digi's from Lacy Sunshine!
