My first twinchie

I came across the Show us your Twinchies Challenge Blog while nosing around some other blogs. Thought I would give it a go as I enjoyed doing some inchie challenges a while back.
The challenge is 'Love is in the Air'.
I stencilled my background using pale blue ink through part of a That Special Touch mask - it was part of a flower. I drew the heart, I went around the edge of the heart with a Gelly Roll Gold pen in pink, then brought the colour into the rest of the heart using my water brush. I put some patterns on the heart using Cosmic Shimmer watercolour paint in lava red. Stuck on some pink hearts from my stash and edged the edge using barn door distress ink. Added a gold bow & put a small red heart in the pink heart.

Vintage/shabby chic

Really got into making this today! My mojo is definitely back.
I stamped the lilac flower image from Woodware onto white card using Stazon. Coloured it in using Cosmic Shimmer watercolour paints. Ripped around the image & distressed using frayed burlap Distress Ink. I ripped some more white paper (really into the ripping!) folded it as if making a fan, then flattened it out so it looked like ribbon. Stuck this around the image and inked around it with - guess what... frayed burlap!I embossed some more white card using an M-Bossabilities folder (tweets and twigs) using my GC, coloured using Cosmic Shimmer Mist (bronze blush), ripped around the edge of this (told you I was into the ripping! ) & distressed using the frayed burlap again. When the background dried buffed up with some paper towel.Stamped on the card with the lilac flower stamp, using the frayed burlap. Made 2 flowers using a Marianne Creatables die (english rose), put a little stickles glue on these.

WOYWW

Actually remembered about WOYWW over at Stamping Ground before late at night!
Hope everyone is having a good day - dull & damp here so nice to be indoors being crafty :)
I am trying to make a vintage/shabby chic card for a few challenges. I've used a lilac flower stamp
from Woodware using Stazon ink onto some watercolour paper. Coloured the image using Cosmic Shimmer watercolour paints. Torn around the edges of the flower & distressed using Frayed Burlap Distress Ink. I am just trying to decide which embossing folder to mat this flower image onto. Hopefully will be making some flowers as well - I'll see how it goes.

WOYWW

Well it's WOYWW again and I actually have something on my workdesk (dining table) that I am working on! I did manage to make hubby's valentine card from last weeks stuff & think I have found my crafty mojo - YAY!
Anyhoo,  thought I would try and do the Craft Den ATC swap. The theme is sewing. The one you can see is nearly finished. I found a royalty free image on the web, resized it. Cut material to the ATC size & sewed the image onto it choosing thread from my embroidery collection. Sewed a button in the corner - just deciding whether to add anything else to this one. Can enter upto 5 ATC's - I think I will try to do 5.
Have enjoyed looking around your workdesks. Hope there isn't too much snow where you are.
Thanks for looking.

Work finished....

Well I did it! Finally produced something - finished Keith's Valentine card.
Would like to say a big THANKYOU to Kaz for helping me find my long lost mojo - please checkout her blog for some great projects, and her Kazkrafts FB site for a great cuttlbug giveaway.
Just needed a few embellishments which I did with the help of my GC & some gold card. Wrote the sentiment on some white card, edged it with barn door distress ink. Stuck the sentiment onto gold card which had been through my GC. Made some little embellishments to stick on the corners.
Made an insert with a mushy verse.
I think he'll like it - hope you do, thanks for stopping by x

Work in progress....

Finally got around to some crafting - thought I'd better seeing as it's Valentines Day on Thursday! And thanks to Kaz, my Facebook friend, for helping me to find my crafty mojo again. Check out her FB page Kazkrafts as she has a great Cuttlebug giveaway, and her blog to see her great projects.
Keith is really into his watches at the moment, especially the ones where you can see all the workings, so I thought I would try & do a card with that theme.
I decided to use a clock mask & cogs group mask by Tando Creative, which I bought over at Polkadoodles. I ran the clock mask through my Grand Calibur onto some white textured paper, while the mask was still on, I went over with some Tim Holtz Ranger Distress Ink in Barn Door. I cut out the clock. I placed a Memory Box cream puff heart die, bought from Joanna Sheen, in the centre of the clock & ran through my GC to get the heart aperture.
I ran the cog group mask through my GC on some gold textured paper. I then cut out the cogs. I placed some red mirri card behind the heart aperture. I stuck the cogs onto the mirri card. placed some bling in the centres of the cogs. I edged the clock with the Barn Door distress ink. I went over the numbers with some glossy accents, found a small love sticker in my stash, stuck it under the 12, then left the clock face to dry.
I used the cog group mask as a stencil & inked through onto some white card with Rusty Hinge distress ink. Inked around the card edges.
Stuck the clock face onto the background.
I think it may need a few embellishments, and there's the sentiment to do - but quite like how it's turning out and glad I have finally done something - watch this space!

Craft Den

Went to the Craft Den - what a great place, and so near ! Had a lovely chat and a coffee with the owner, Lynne. Am now booked onto workshops with Hels Sheridan in April & July. My FB friend Kaz Brown is coming to the July one - so we will be able to have a proper chat instead of FB chats - can't wait. A few purchases were made :)
Lynne also has a challenge blog - Anything Goes Challenge Blog.

Found a new craft shop!

Have found a new craft shop! The Craft Den, literally just around the corner from me, that does workshops too. Have already booked one with Hels Sheridan in April! Am off round there this morning to drool over crafty stuff & no doubt the odd purchase or two will be made :) Have a great day whatever you are doing .

WOYWW

Thought I would join this site, what's on your workdesk Wednesday, to try & make me actually do some crafting instead of just buying crafty stuff.
You can see my spellbinder dies, memory box dies, that special touch of masks & templates & loads of sticky stuff, glitters & embossing powders. If I can't come up with something out of all this think it may be time to sell up !
