Alphabet Challenge Blog

Z is for zig zags! - for my DT project on the Alphabet Challenge Blog, I decided to make an ATC. I must admit I did struggle a little trying to think of something to incorporate zig zags - but I dug deep into my stash and found some card embossed with zig zags - fantastic! I highlighted these with some copper versa mark ink. I found the dried corn stalks, mounted these onto some mulberry paper & stuck onto the ATC, made a small bow from some cord. Added some fairy sparkle to the corn stalks, made a label from the same mulberry paper.

Alphabet Challenge Blog

Y is for yellow - I have recently discovered digi scrapbooking on Serif Digital Scrapbook Artist - wow! I have really enjoyed using it. I have made a few pages but thought this one would meet the challenge of yellow on the Alphabet Challenge Blog. The programme has 'digi kits' which contain all the backgrounds. material, embellishments, frames, ribbons, decorative brushes, embroidery.... well the list is endless. The pages can be printed out or you can print out the embellishments to 3D your work or use on cards. A few tears were shed doing this page as Mum had been diagnosed with cancer during  October of 2005 - but we had been planning this party all year & she was due into hospital in January 2006 - so the party went ahead. After 21/2 years of ops & chemo she died Dec 16th 2008. As I said, tears were shed, but I really like this page & have done other pages. I have resized this page, printed it out & put in a frame - gave Dad one too.

Alphabet Challenge Blog

X is for Xmas - for my DT card on the Alphabet Challenge Blog, I used the image from Decoupage Plus! Christmas Trees by Chris Warner at papercraft world. I printed the decoupage onto photo paper, mounted this onto some mulberry paper, added some peeloffs to the mulberry paper, decorated the tree with some peeloofs, made a frame from some matching paper. Printed off the matching backing sheet and assembled the card. Finished with a peeloff sentiment.
I have entered this card in:
